used to love writing letters in my childhood and had a lot of
letter-exchange partners. In junior high and high school, despite the
fact that we met everyday, my friends and I would write an exchange
diary to each other - anyway I just loved writing... but when I
became a university student and started to use a cell phone, I
gradually stopped writing letters.
the only things I use handwriting for have become my annual New
Year's Cards and when I go on holiday and buy and send pictures
postcards to my family members.
phone texts and computer emails are really convenient but I miss
letters. So whenever I receive the odd rare handwritten letter, I
feel really glad. And because the written characters are all
different depending on the person, it is really fun to imagine the
writer's face when looking at their hand-written characters.
