Ah...refreshing May. It really feels great to travel during this season.
Anyway, whatever kind of trip I take, I always go into a souvenir shop without fail, for the purpose of buying an owl as a memento of the trip.
Some time ago, our family decided that "trip mementos were owls". An owl is a bird. It is usually written as 「梟 fukurou」 . But if you write it as
Fukurou (lucky birds) are founds in most souvenir shops. In places famous for porcelain, they sell ceramic owls; in places where the timber is famous, wooden owl sculptures are sold.
Everyone, what do you buy as a souvenir when you travel? Do you collect anything?
