ベランダ・ガーデニング Veranda Gardening

私は去年からベランダでハイビスカスを育(そだ)てています。
１年目は１輪しか咲かなかったのですが、今年はいくつもつぼみができて、順に咲いてくれています。花が咲く時期は６～１０月だそうですが、我が家のハイビスカスは９月になってやっと咲き出しました。台風が来るたびに室内に避難させて、肥料もたっぷりあげてきたので、暑いのが苦手で、わがままな子になってしまったのかもしれません。

狭いベランダですが、他にもサボテンやジャスミンなどを育てています。ジャスミンは今ちょっと元気がないのですが、サボテンは 生き生きとしてぐんぐんのびています。この上に洗濯物が落ちると、とげがついて大変です（笑）

次はプチトマトなど、何か食べられるものを育てたいなと考えています。みなさんは庭やベランダで何か育てていますか。

★English translation

Since last year we have been growing Hibiscus plant on our veranda.

After only giving a single blossom in the first year, this year we already have a bunch of buds, and they are taking turns to bloom for us. The flower blooming season is from June to October, and our hibiscus finally began to bloom in September.

Every time a typhoon comes, we bring it inside for shelter, and we are constantly giving it plenty of fertilizer. So this little 'child' that dislikes the heat has probably become quite selfish.

On our small veranda, we are also growing a cactus and jasmine plant. The jasmine is not looking too healthy right now, but the cactus is full of vitality and growing constantly. It is a real problem when the laundry falls off the clothesline and onto the cactus's thorns.

I am thinking about growing some petite tomatoes or something I can eat. Are you growing anything at this time?
